July 22, Feast Day of Mary Magdalene 7/22

Today is the day we honour you Mary, Tower of the Flock.

Every day I am guided by you, and as you are the patron saint of aromatherapy, alchemist to the alchemist (the bane Marie/’double boiler’ is named after you).  You, known as the ‘Beloved’ to Jesus/Jeshua and as the ‘apostle to the apostle’s, yet still so few truly have the eyes to see why.

First, they called you the ‘sinner’….the woman whom Jesus cast ‘seven’ devils out of.

Though you are mentioned in all four gospels in the anointing of Jesus, which makes Him the Christed One, still you are relegated to the sidelines and your sacred teachings lost through the ages.

But the oil itself, ‘nard’ oil, is revelatory.  Nard, or spikenard, Latin Name, Nardostachys Jatamansi, is for ‘wounds that will not heal’…..it is a sedative also known as ‘False Valerian Root’ and to break open a whole jar and pour it onto Jesus, would certainly sedate Him at the very least.

“ At that supper, then, Mary received the glorious encomium, "she hath wrought a good work upon Me . . . in pouring this ointment upon My body she hath done it for My burial . . . wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached . . . that also which she hath done shall be told for a memory of her."

The rhizome root connects intricately under the earth and spreads. 

So it is you, above all, who knew the ALL, THE WAY; knew and walked with the Master and taught the Greatest of All, ‘Love one another’.  For you never left His side, while the others ran to save themselves, you remained steadfast, loyal and true.  You never stopped ‘kissing Him’….while they others never kissed him once.  You were there to see Him rise from the grave, ‘Nole me tangere’….’Do not cling to me woman’…..and it was you who told the others He is Risen….Only you hold the egg in your hand and in Faith….watch the egg turn red proving He is Risen.

So what rises?

Why would an egg turn red?

How do you have such an expensive ointment as spikenard that would feed someone for two years?

I am grateful that you have imparted so many secrets to me, and ‘revealed’ so many deeper truths that I seek.  I am grateful for grace, and for the love that you teach this flawed human.

This is often the last day the sun is in Virgo, the virgin……the anoretic degree of Virgo as the sun comes back like a Lion.
