The Sun of Man Spreads His Wings and the Lioness Bleeds Her Honour

The Lord of the Rings has been devouring his children, since the partially eclipsed new moon on January 5^th had Saturn/EL casting his cold sickle about at 11* alongside the new moon at 15* CAPRICORN the goat, partially hiding behind her solar paramour the sun.  He is stern and serious and has many cutting away the excesses in so many layers.  Whether it is cleaning out your closets, or going even deeper and excavating your basements (Pluto/Hades is leading the pack at 20* CAPRICORN), this time has many in preparation.  Even if you are not consciously aware of the destination, (though the last decade has been doing a heck of a job of getting your attention and awakening something far deeper, one layer at a time) something ancient is stirring deep within and crystalizing in the gloomy haze.  There…just there ahead…you put your hand to your brow to catch a glimpse.  Sizzling in the dark expanse you see a spark dance off the newly polished sterling columns spanning the uncharted waters. This new moon had you taking that step forward, and the full moon we are waxing into just after midnight on January 21^st, 2019 will return like a LION at 0* of Leo while she is fully consumed by the sun who is at 0* Aquarius.  He emerges out of the cold steel grip of Capricorn, to give us a look at where we are truly headed in the next 6 months giving us a clue into early 2020, first winding into the summer eclipses in Cancer the Crab.

 The new moon eclipse, we saw Mercury/Hermes at 01* Capricorn but by January 12^th he has flown up to 12* Capricorn EL/Saturn where he is divulging all he knows and receiving instructions to move forward.  He is pulling line ‘communications’ from the Lord of the Rings along the heavenly grid until he meets up with Lord Hades on January 19^th just one night before the Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse which happens minutes after the Midnight Hour of the Sun’s Day at 21st when the sparks fly as the fuse line is set. Hermes takes that evolutionary energy of Plutonian transformation and sizzles as he snaps, crackles and pops sitting on the Dragon’s Tale that is now at 26* Capricorn.  All of that energy is fusing into the Full Moon that now stands across the heavens newly ingressed into Aquarius.  The light show will be a harbinger of things to come.  And oh are things coming…

On Saturn’s Day/El’s Day the 19^th the howling begins as a 25* Hermes ready’s to combust with a newly fed sun, ready to consume A BLOOD RED MOON at 00* LEO THE LION.  TIME FOR THE BRAVE-HEARTS!

Hear the ripping of the curtain as it is torn down by the silver knife of Lady Luna now dripping crimson? The earth will roll and moan during this dance of ANG-EL’s.

At the exact time of the Blood/Wolf/Moon eclipse.  You have a fully engorged Mercury at 25* Capricorn, buzzing with the fusion of Pluto at 21* Capricorn, and the tail of the dragon at 26* Capricorn…squaring a 28* Uranus in Aries while a 13* Mars in Aries (rulership) is squaring EL also at 13* of Capricorn…which by the way, squares and opposes a natal US Sun at 13* of Cancer.  (This becomes a strong preclusion of things to come in the Cancer eclipses this summer).

The streets will run crimson with weight of such squares, we can fully expect the same daisy chain of events play across the media as Saturn/EL is not about fudging anything but cutting out anything that obscures and finding the truth.  We will look at these times as nails being put into the ‘FALLEN CROSS THAT FULLY FORMS IN APRIL OF 2024’.  We can look at this as stepping stones into the future we are creating together.  But make no mistake, with so many planets in rulership and DIRECT AT THE SAME TIME, THIS IS A POWERFUL TIME AND THE SIGNS ARE ALL AROUND US.

We should all pray that serious war or conflict does not break out to further burden any chance for a bright tomorrow coming soon.

Jupiter/Zeus at 15* Sagittarius conjuncts a 14* Venus/Aphrodite magnifying what we love and value and also the immigration issue that is being battered back and forth and shaking the entire country with it, as they continue to form a closing square to Neptune at 14* PIsces (again in rulership), bringing up the issues that the mutable signs; PIsces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius have all been dealing with, going back and forth on their own issues, even as the Moon’s nodes have left their axis, tripping open their own reason for being here and asking them to step into their role on planet earth, what power have they/you been hiding or shirking from?  Which part of false promises have you grown tired of and where have you found the truth, gleaming and ever patiently waiting for you deep within the confines of your own soul, perfectly capable of ILLUMINATING THE DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL WITH

INTEGRITY AND HONESTY.

Go back to 2009, when the conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune began in Aquarius (bringing to another close the fixed signs, like pulling a thread that gathers up the fabric, your new garment is forming in front of you).  There they seeded this cycle that is now bringing home the fruits or frustrations/confusion if the seeds were not heirloom, by that I mean were they from your root or did you confuse yourself with an ILLUSION that is now gushing out from the torn curtain.

Now, the times they are alarming…but also know this…they are potent with possibility for real soul growth right now, if one keeps their head on straight and has their perspective fully grounded, as Saturn/EL is now teaching us is necessary for ANYTHING TO STAND THE TEST OF TIME.

We are all given the opportunity to rise to the occasion and make whatever difference they can possibly make, each instance bringing a clear stream of Mercy and Grace pouring into a thirsty nation of confused and weary people.  All this ‘fake news’…so Jupiter square to Neptune.  What to believe?  This is why there is the need for discipleship, to discern…using the discipline of Saturn/EL one must become a DISCIPLE.  Prayer in ACTION.
In the meantime there is also a wildly unravelling and reckless Wall Street getting somewhat of a reprieve and protection while Venus is Direct and trine to Mars and Uranus is Direct, but will soon feel the cracking again as Uranus makes his way to Taurus which he enters again on March 6^th.  Put your ducks in a row…this is all just the prelude of THE REALLY BIG SHOW…

Neptune/Poseidon has another 7 years in his own sign of PIsces, in that time we will see the ending stages of that era…of PIsces.  Upon the entry of Neptune into Aries, we will see ‘THE COMING OF THE SON/SUN OF MAN AS HE FOLLOWS THE WOMAN WITH THE PITCHER INTO HER HOUSE/AQUARIUS’.
Up unto this point, we have been learning to live in a finite world, but Aquarius will open up doors as our protection zone erodes…

Hermes Looks Back and Waves Goodbye

Our friend, Hermes as he is known in Greek Mythology and Mercury to the Romans, is often blamed for many things, especially when he goes retrograde; which happens three to four times each year.

What actually is taking place is the slowing down of the planet Mercury’s orbit of the sun, which eventually stops its motion in relation to the earth.
This creates an illusion of moving backwards, similar to what happens when you are sitting in your car at a light, and the car next to you moves forward, giving you the sense that you are moving.  The earth would be the moving car and Mercury is the car that is now stopped at the light (sun).

Another analogy I like to use is what happens when you are moving forward in a boat and you stick an oar in the water; the movement of the water as it swishes around the oar which is now moving with the boat and creating its own vortex is what happens energetically with the Mercury Retrograde.  I like to use the analogy of water for many things, but especially to help people visualize and understand the movement and force of energy that is not always so visible to the naked eye.  If we understand the universe as a living Sea of Life, the movement of the planets and the energy they impart into that sea, may be better understood.

Returning to the oar analogy; think about that movement in the water, swishing and circling ‘around’ the oar.  We see the returning of energy.  This is what happens with Mercury.  All the energy and information/lessons attached to by degree, sign, house and aspect are refocused in our lens and we are given another view/experience to literally, ‘review’ and perhaps make different choices, or become culpable for our previous actions and this includes karmic lessons back as a blast from the past.

If we take that a few layers back and ‘review’ what Mercury or Hermes actually rules over, we find these:  Communications, travel, pens, writing, siblings, language, crossroads, cue: “Went Down to the Crossroads” here is a link to Cream with lead Eric Clapton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-6OWBciRas but the story made most famous is one by Robert Johnson and his trek to the ‘Crossroads’ where he met the devil and ‘traded’ his soul to become a blues guitarist legend.

Commerce is also something that Mercury rules over, trade that all through history creates the infrastructure and roads necessary to transport goods from their point of origin to place of sale or market.  Although ‘Pluto/Hades’ rules over treasures, it is Mercury who is given free passage to and from the underworld of Hades, and of course, Hades loves music and Hermes invented the lyre using the shell of a tortoise. 

He was given a caduceus or staff from his father Zeus, which in some stories originally were two white ribbons that entwined the herald’s staff and later changed into two serpents.

Zeus also awarded Hermes, a cap with two small wings and a pair of winged sandals when he appointed him as the Divine Herald.  This gave Hermes the ability to travel over both land and sea.  Zeus also ordered everyone give their utmost respect to Hermes.

Hermes also rules: astronomy, astrology, cleverness, cunning wiles and wit, hospitality, heralds, diplomacy, thievery, persuasion, athletic contests (Olympics), gymnasiums and is given credit as the originator of the sacrifice to the God’s. He is the personal messenger and herald to his father Zeus, the king of the gods.

It is said that he punishes anyone who does not help those asking for directions.

Other Major attributes:
•              hodios patron of travelers and wayfarer

•              oneiropompus, conductor of dreams.

•              poimandres, shepherd of men

•              psychopompos, conveyor or conductor of souls and psychogogue, conductor or leader of souls in (or through) the underworld

•              the factor of travelling or motion with or without others with respect to the physical landscape, or the landscape of the soul , is the core attribute of the god as messenger and guide

 

OK, now that we have a bit of a backdrop upon which to draw, let’s go ‘back’ to Mercury Retrograde.

Mercury stations retrograde on June 26^th at 23* of Cancer until he goes direct again on July 20^th at 13*.

This is the second of three retrogrades this year and they are all in water signs, the next one being from  October 21 to November 10 in Scorpio.

He will almost manage to form an exact square to Uranus in Aries and opposition to Pluto in Capricorn.

 

We can expect the usual, computer malfunctioning, dropping pens, paper and pencils, electricity whirligigs, car trouble and miscommunications and misunderstandings.

I could tell you to try and be very clear before signing any agreements, if one were to be so bold at this time, but during a water retrograde, it is just asking for trouble to even try.

Now, if it is something with an ‘RE’ before the task, then by all means go ahead!  Re-pairing, Re-wiring, Re-painting, Re-negotiating, etc.

 

This is also when we get those blasts from the past, like seeing people we haven’t in years or meeting up with people we just seem to already know, they are usually someone from a past life.

In this water retrograde, expect and even look for people from the past to visit your dreams, and perhaps tell you something they didn’t or couldn’t get the chance to tell you in person; they may have already passed over too.  The message could be one you have been asking for answers to, so PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DREAMS!

Now, think of how an object appears different when you look at it through water, the light refracts and skews the dimensions and the location of the object in the water.  This is a good analogy to comprehend what happens in communications.  Things are just not what they seem.  The message may become garbled or muffled, either way we are just not hearing what we thought we heard, so best not to come to any conclusions.  Yes, this also pertains to those messages in the dream state, but I would write them down to come back to later, they will have something that will help us put the pieces of the puzzle together and usually these will be more of the returning variety, the view we didn’t or couldn’t see before and that is what we are looking to benefit from during the Mercury retrograde period.

Secrets will have a much shorter life or half-life during this retrograde, since we already have had that long Saturn retrograde in Scorpio while in mutual reception to Pluto/Hades in Capricorn, all that was shuffled under the table will find its way to the surface like a leak that you just can’t fix.

Water will seek its own level and bring up from the depths of that Neptunian/Poseidon Sea (who is also retrograde) the deeper spiritual truths, the kind that were nipping around the periphery of your consciousness and almost within grasp and then popped like a bubble before we could integrate them.  The closer Mercury gets to that Uranus square, the closer those insights (ruled by Uranus) will come into our awareness.

Squares can be challenging of course, but they are also what we use to build upon, so after it all comes out in the wash, expect to become much clearer about what and where we want to build our dreams.

 

Since the retrograde is in Cancer (The moon/home/family) Cancers can expect to be affected the most, followed by all the Cardinal signs: Libra, Capricorn, and Aries as well as where those signs are by house in your own chart, including planets that are aspected too.

With Jupiter having just entered the sign of Cancer too, we can expect a lot of expansion in the water sign and all things Cancer, so it is a good time for family and nurturing ourselves with mother energy.
There could be some slowing of construction and housing during this retrograde period, or the flow of money into the housing market could feel strained, as if the river of loans is drying up.

This is a good time to clean and wash away the past, repair old friendships if our review brings the light of a new perspective or understanding but it may also mean the letting go of those friendships and relationships that are just too hard to hold onto, with all that water pulling those people who have served their purpose away and onto a different river in life.  I don’t say that lightly, since I don’t let go of people very easily myself, I take people very deeply into my heart, and it takes an awful lot of hurtful behavior for me not to overlook the transgressions, so even writing that does not come so easy.

 

Now, since Mercury is in Cancer, expect emotional confusion most of all, but also emotional healing.

I know that may sound contradictory, but that is how this works, the energy gives and takes away.

(I am also writing this during a Mercury Retrograde, so that means I will come back and rewrite this in the future AND it may not be as clear as I would like it to be, she said as she laughed to herself).

 

Let’s go back to the statue of Mercury looking back:  This is what we do best during this time, he wants us to RE-member who we are, the road we have travelled, our hurts and our accomplishments after we successfully negotiated the difficult times, the people we have met along the way and how we treated them, the kindness and the love that we have been blessed with and especially, our ability to laugh, to take things less seriously and find a witty sense of humor about it all.

But we made it through those times, just barely though it may seem, but we made it through.

So, it is compassion we can find now, and soothe our beings with the balm of that love, letting go of the need to do more and to worry about the future.

Kindness goes a long way.  Here is where I find POWER in our amazing ability to look back, to remember the times we have had with loved ones we may not be able to see in the physical world anymore, to glean a lesson from the lens of history and turn that into a better fuel and heraldry to turn around and implore the God’s when Mercury goes direct.

It is not the time to march forward; it is the time to bask in the afterglow of the road less travelled.

Just Keep Running and Catch Up If You Can

Full Moon eclipse, May 25, 12:26AM EDT

Things moving a bit quick for you?  Well, with the moon in Sagittarius at 4* opposing the Sun in Gemini at 4* and a partial eclipse in the process, this 3^rd in the series of spring eclipses has us running our~ you know what’s off, both in thought and in action.

As the sun moves into Gemini out of Taurus, along with the rest of the stellium; Venus, Mercury and Jupiter, we are running in many directions and we can’t seem to get there quick enough! 

After that squeeze we felt in the Taurus/Scorpio oppositions, money is flowing in and out, also in a hurry.

How are your computers?  That Uranus square to Pluto might be causing all kinds of whirly-gigs to try and hijack your computer or programs enough to make you wonder if we are in some sort of Mercury retrograde, and no we are not; that will happen next month on the 27^th.

While we are at it, let’s talk about how happy Mercury/Hermes (writing/communication/crossroads/travel) is in his own sign of Gemini.  Busy conversations & can’t seem to get a word in edgewise?  But what lively fun we are having!

Now is the time to catch up, to write those letters make those phone calls to those you have been neglecting and catch up.  That is if you can find the time in this busy, busy

Energy we are buzzing kinetically through.

Catch those insights while you can, you should be getting a glimpse of new aspects of yourself.  We are still shedding our layers, you should have a better idea of what you need to leave behind, and there are plenty of idea's popping begging for attention to focus on, which way do you go?

One problem may be starting too many things and not having as much time as we thought to get them all done. 
Energy might just not be as abundant as our busy mind thought we could handle; but this Sag moon will have us in a race to all of a sudden make a run for it.

Saturn/El and Lord of the Rings is of course still hanging out in Scorpio, so the plum line has been dropped deep, deep, deep and the conversations might just go a lot longer and into territory you did not expect, so here is a tipper, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.

Oh, put your waders on and tie some hematite on, Mars is still in Taurus and the stellium hanging out in Gemini but in the bull’s horns can still hook into that fixed cross and lock you into a longer embrace, insert: ‘But I’d Like to Get to Know You’, Spanky and Our Gang.

Once again expect some secrets to go sliding out when that Moon comes out from behind the sun, revealing or releasing some females onto the world stage, and some will be taking the fall, left holding the bag, a certain IRS woman comes to mind for starters.

That is a hole, which is going to get bigger and bigger.

There is another flu bug going around, so make sure to have plenty of Breathing Easy, especially with all this Mercury/Gemini actions going on.

Make sure to have Sleep, to get the deep recovery necessary to keep up with this fast pace, summer will be a sizzler believe me.
